Congratulations to Steven Simon of Severn after winning the guaranteed $1 million prize in the Feb. 20, 2019 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Simon also won $10 on his Lotto 6/49 selection, bringing his total winnings to $1,000,010.
"This is my first big win," shared Simon, a 62-year-old lumber distributor, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. "It will take some time for this all to sink in.”
The father of four and grandfather of four checked his ticket at the store after getting gas.
"It was unbelievable when the machine shut down," he said. "I feel fantastic."
Simon plans to bank some of his windfall but also share the lottery love.
“I am so happy that I can help my kids and my siblings,” he said.
“And now I can retire whenever I want!" he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Erin Express Variety and Video on Main Street in Erin.
