Severn woman faces impaired charges after Highway 11 crash

A Severn Township woman is facing impaired charges after an incident on Highway 11 Monday night.

Police say a vehicle struck the guardrail on Highway 11, lost a wheel, and crashed into a ditch at around 9:20 p.m. last night in Oro-Medonte Township.

Orillia OPP officers responded, arrested the driver and transported her to a neighbouring police service for further investigation.

Daphne Ager, 35, of Severn Township is facing impaired driving charges and had her driver's licence automatically suspended for 90 days. The vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Ager will face her charges at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on May 2.
