Saying “yes” to Encore paid off for Laura Sega of Stayner.
She matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 24, 2022 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
Laura, a 34-year-old paramedic, says this is her first major win.
“I’ve been playing the lottery regularly for four years. This ticket was a quick pick, and I always add Encore,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
“I received an email from OLG one morning and I realized it looked kind of different. It said I was a big winner. I thought I won $100, but when I opened it, I saw I actually won $100,000,” Laura said. “I was in complete shock. I had to ask my husband to double check.”
Laura plans to build her dream home with her husband.
“This feels like a blessing,” she concluded.
