The Hendrie Tract near Anten Mills was the start of the Simcoe County forests 99 years ago and remains one of the most popular with a variety of uses with hiking and ATV trails as well as snowmobile use  a system that has a network that criss-crosses county and private property.

County forests remain open to the public; however, residents are urged to respect physical distancing while using the Simcoe County Forest and parking areas.

Officials ask if you are to be self-isolating, to not use the Simcoe County Forest.

"We respect that those who can get outdoors during this pandemic, may use these trails for exercise and fresh air. However, you must maintain the safe physical distance of at least two metres apart from others as per the provincial order.," reads a notice on the county's website.
