The City of Orillia is thrilled with the responses received for the recent Communications and Engagement Survey issued between June 11 and July 2, 2018 and would like to thank all residents who took the time to participate in the survey.
Four-hundred and sixty-three people provided feedback on how they currently source information about the city, how effective our current communications tools are and ideas for how we can communicate and engage with residents in the future.
“The response rate for the Communications and Engagement Survey indicates that individuals in Orillia value being informed and engaged on municipal matters,” said Gayle Jackson, chief administrative officer. “The city is always looking at ways to improve the services we provide residents and businesses in Orillia. The results of this survey will provide direction as we continue to explore new ways to connect with the community.”
Prize winners have been contacted. Margaret will enjoy two Summer Flex Pacs to the Orillia Opera House Summer Season featuring three live theatre shows from July to Aug. 2018, and Nancy and Mary-Ann each received a $50 gift card for Parks, Recreation and Culture programs.
The city’s Manager of Communications is analyzing the results of the survey and will provide an overview of the feedback to council at the upcoming Corporate Plan meeting on Aug. 23, 2018. Following the Corporate Plan update, survey suggestions and feedback will be reviewed for potential implementation of communications and engagement enhancements moving forward.
