Coun. Ralph Cipolla, left, and Mayor Steve Clarke present Heather Lewis, vice-president of the Canadian Federation of University Women Orillia, with a cheque for $1,500 as part of the city’s grants program.

Three organizations will share in more than $3,000 in grant funding from the City of Orillia.

As part of the city’s 2022 general grants program, the Canadian Federation of University Women Orillia has received $1,500, while the Comfie Cat Shelter and the Orillia Terry Fox Run committee have been given $1,000 and $918, respectively.

“We are very fortunate to have such great organizations in our city and are pleased to present these grants to help support the important contributions they make within our community,” Mayor Steve Clarke said in a news release.

The city’s total grants budget for this year is $32,000.

The application deadline for the next general grants intake is Oct. 17, coinciding with the intake for the city’s partnership program for festivals and events.
