The show riders at Top of the Hill Farm, just outside Orillia, brought their A-game to the second Rushmount Trillium Hunter Jumper Horse Show this past weekend.

The team got overall champion or reserve in almost every division they entered.

“I am so proud of all my students and horses,” said Erin Amos, owner and coach at Top of the Hill. “We have worked really hard all winter and it is paying off in the results they are getting.”

The weekend started off with a clean sweep of the Hack Division. Amos’ young horse, Wanabi Famous, was champion with the farm’s junior professional trainer, Cameron Edwards, aboard. Eighth Wonder of the World, owned by Daniella McLean and ridden by Chelsea McGee took home the Reserve Champion Ribbon.

The barn then won first and second overall in the Low Hunter Division; this time it was Amos’ seasoned hunter Chicago K getting the top tri-colour ribbon, being ridden by Bradi Moore. Edwards placed just behind her on Callado, owned by Joni Marinich.

Callado and junior rider, Kenzie Raybold, moved up to the Children’s Hunter Division, capturing the Reserve Champion Ribbon.

Edwards wasn’t done winning. The next day she received another championship ribbon this time piloting Eighth Wonder of the World in the 2’3” Hunters.

Sunday also saw Top of the Hill sweep the Modified Hunter Division, Jenny Bodera riding Amos’ Treasure Island took home the championship, Ayela Wright and Limitless got reserve overall.

The equitation riders also took home a ton of hardware.

On Saturday, the smallest member of the show team, Taylor Armstrong, won the walk/trot class. Moore got the silver medal in the Adult Hunters, also taking second place was Taylor MacDonald in the My First Medal class. On Sunday, Bodera won the Modified Medal and Wright was third.

“Our rider Savanah also put in some great rounds in the Training Hunters” said Amos. “I also want to make sure my support staff and all our parents get the recognition they deserve. We can’t do this without them.”

Top of the Hill Farm competes on the Georgian Bay Trillium Hunter Jumper Zone. The top seven riders at end of the circuit qualify for the Ontario Championships that are held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in September.
