After COVID-19 wiped out popular events such as the prom for the last two years, students at one local high school decided to take things into their own hands.
An ad hoc committee of students at Twin Lakes Secondary School, with oversight from some parents, organized a prom Friday night that proved quite popular with pupils from the Orillia school.
The students enjoyed getting dressed up, taking photos and participating in a dinner and dance at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club.
The theme of the prom was 'Old school, Hollywood' and was a big hit among those who attended.
