Which new logo do you like best?

Online survey for Ramara Township residents is open until June 27

TOWNSHIP OF RAMARA

The Township of Ramara’s Branding Steering Committee has been working diligently with the branding consultants to come up with a new brand identity for Ramara.

In April 2018 we asked the community what they thought of the current logo and tagline. Of those who completed the survey, 32% like the nature representation within the current logo, but 75% think it is either outdated, too busy or they dislike the tagline. Water was the number one aspect that respondents would like to see reflected in the new brand, which was the key focus when creating the concepts. Other key elements were the shorelines, the sunsets, outdoor activities (boating, swimming, walking, fishing and hiking), nature and a peaceful, rural community.

We have developed four new concepts for a new Ramara logo and are looking for further input from the community on which logo they feel best represents our municipality. The survey will be open until June 27, 2018.

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ramaralogo.

The steering committee is meeting with the consultants (Strexer Harrop & Associates) on June 28th to review the results from the survey and form recommendations for Council in July.

In order to succeed, communities need to stay competitive and Ramara Township understands that. Our goal is to attract new residents, visitors and new businesses to the community. That is why we have embarked on a brand identity project. Brand identity is about marketing your community and distinguishing it from other places.

A brand is a promise to new residents, tourists and investors that your place is a great place to live, work, or visit. For a township, the identity helps create positive, distinguishing associations for people. A logo can provide an immediate response that puts the township in the best possible light. The logo can capture people’s imagination, instill pride and a sense of place among its residents, and spark economic growth through tourism and business investment.
