BUSINESS LEADER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Who will be the 2018 William (Bill) Swinimer Business Leader of the Year?
The three nominees for the prestigious award have been determined. Officials announced the following people are in the running for this year’s honour:
- Don Porter of Geneva Theatre
- Bob and Mary Ann Willsey of the Mariposa Market Stores
- Sarah Moleme of Sarahannedipity
This year’s award will be presented at an award dinner to be held at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club on April 24. Social hour will begin at 5:30, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
This year the award is sponsored by TD Bank and Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Orillia’s Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
This will be the 17th year for this award and officials say they welcome the opportunity to highlight and thank the many small businesses that provide jobs in the community as well as sponsor many community events.
Orillia has a vibrant and exciting business community and this award is meant to thank them for adding to the many reasons we are happy to work, live and play in this wonderful city.
