The Orillia Prostate Cancer Awareness Group invites residents to learn more about treatment research.

A free event is being held Wednesday, March 28, at the Orillia Legion branch located on 215 Mississaga St. E.

Dr. Stanley Liu, scientist/oncologist at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, and assistant professor at University of Toronto, will be presenting his work on prostate cancer treatment.

Liu’s research is focused on finding biomarkers by non-invasive means, such as urine and blood, and, where appropriate, identifying aggressive prostate cancer and modifying the treatment.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the speaker begins his talk at 7 p.m.
