Goals galore as Lady Kings fill the net during weekly action

Despite the less-than-ideal weather condition during the first two weeks of Orillia Lady Kings House League play, the players and parents have shown resilience and determination during action at the West Orillia Sports Complex. The game results are as follows:

Little Lady Kings

Dr. Hillson Eye Care Orillia received offence from Rebekah Lacroix (2G), Brielle Hodgkinson (1G) and Sophia Dominelli (1G) in their 4-1 victory over Champlain Ready Mix. Replying in a losing cause was Briar Wakelin.

Orillia KIA would edge McGregor on the Water by a narrow 3-2 margin as Abigail Catterall, Alexandra Fagan and Kyah Thompson would earn single markers while McGregor on the Water would get singles from Leighton Mainer and Pyper McDonald.

U11

Northern Elite Lacrosse would gain a 6-2 victory over Kutting Edge Promotions as Tessa Patterson (3G), Emilijia Ligers (2G) and Jana Ball (1G) paced the victors. Mya Sanderson (1G) and Kaydence Thompson (1G) scored in the loss.

A high-scoring match with Freeman’s AutoSource outlasting Mariposa Landscaping by 9-5 followed. Emersyn McLaughlin (3G), Alyssa Glass (2G), Allyson McMullen (2G) and Anna Fagan (2G) rounded out the car dealer’s scoring. Kaelyn McDonald (2G), Morgan Parnell (2G) and Evynn Stanford rounded out the U11 scoring on the evening.

U13/U15 Recreational

Plenty of goals was the theme in this match as TD Canada Trust outlasted BMG Glass & Aluminum by a narrow 11-9 score. Hailey Decock (3G), Melanie Decock (3G), Alexandra Elliot (3G), Izabella Marino (2G), and Kayleigh Tobey were goal scorers in the win while Paige Paddon (3G), Grace McLelland (2G), Ava-Holly Elliot (2G), Montana Kelly (1G) and Ashleigh Hester (1G) found the scoresheet.

Another high scoring but lopsided match between Orillia Power and West Street Storage ended in a 18-3 win for Orillia Power. Willow Davidson (7G), Grace Wakeley (5G), Claire Kudar (3G), Danika Tindale (2G) and Claudia Page had markers to aide Sarah Fagan who earned to win in net. Emma Dixon, Alivia Keip and Ela Torrie would be the goal scorers for the storage crew.

U13/U15 Competitive

If you like goal scoring, this division provided plenty as TJS Custom Sheet Metal and Meridian Credit Union led the way with TJS earning the narrow 12-11 win. Melanie Smith (4G), Emma Marwick (3G), Camryn Knee (3G) and Kennedy Clarke and Hayley Ball chipped in with goals themselves. Karley Eckstein (4G), Jayden Taylor (3G), Eleanor Waite (2G), Bethany Marchant (1G) and Hannah Rudge (1G) replied with their own scoring statistics.

Peak Engineering would continue to fill the net as they raced to a 13-8 win over Bradley Homes. Jayden Maracle (5G), Olivia Glass (3G), Ryley Black (2G)m, Megan Walsh, Ryin Davidson, Anna Lajoie had single markers while Brooklyn Barker (3G), and singles from the sticks of Riley Marwick, Sydney Shawyer, Emma Dongelmans, Brook-Lyn May and Alison Rolston were the point getters for the local home makers.
