Junior Royals to clash with Creemore tonight in NDBL semi-finals

Nolan MacNeal is expected to make the mound start tonight when the Orillia Royals battle Creemore in the opening game of the North Dufferin Baseball League semi-finals. Game time at the Jerry Udell diamond at Tudhope Park is 8 p.m.

The Orillia Junior Royals will continue their quest for a North Dufferin Baseball League crown tonight.

Orillia finished second in the regular season and then swept Midland in two games in the quarter-final playoff round.

Tonight, the Royals begin their clash against Creemore in the semi-finals. Creemore finished eighth in the regular season, but pulled off a monumental first-round upset, topping Caledon 2-1 in their best-of-three series.

The opening game of the semi-final series will be played tonight under the lights at the Jerry Udell diamond at Tudhope Park. Game time is 8 p.m. There is no admission fee.

Orillia will travel to Creemore for Game 2 in the series Wednesday night.
