A local golfer is celebrating after scoring the first hole-in-one of the young season at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club.
Brad Johnston aced the 122-yard 13th hole on the Meadow Nest course May 4 using a 9-iron. It was his first hole-in-one at Hawk Ridge, where he has been golfing for 20 years. It was his third career ace.
The feat was witnessed by Roy Micks, Stu Finlayson and Mike Thomson.
