ORILLIA FIGURE SKATING CLUB

Skater of the month
Chloe Zyp is 11-years-old and has been skating since the age of 1. This will be Chloe’s second season with OFSC.
Chloe is currently working on her Star 4 Free Skate, European Dance and Star 7 skills. Chloe has recently acquired her axel and is very close to landing her double salchow.
Chloe enjoys playing soccer, golf and is an avid skier. Chloe is coached by Marisa Forrest and Markus Leminen.

Star skate
The Orillia Figure Skating club offers Star Skate (bronze/silver/gold sessions) starting Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.
The Orillia Figure Skating Club offers the following programs at Rotary Arena and Brian Orser Arena on Mondays and Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019
PreCan
For children 3 to 5 years of age as of Dec. 31. This learn to skate program teaches children how to stand up, move forward and change directions. A one-to-two ratio is provided to skaters until they are able to skate on their own.
CanSkate
This learn to skate program incorporates fun with the basics of skating. Skaters receive ribbons and badges for each of the six stages completed.
PrePower
This program runs along side CanSkate sessions and teaches the core power skating skills (agility, endurance, and speed) needed for hockey. PrePower ribbons are rewarded to skaters who complete each level.

Fundraising event
We will have a dinner buffet fundraising at Thai Plate restaurant on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Thai Plate restaurant will donate all money from ticket sales to our club. Seats are limited, Please contact coaches for a ticket.
