ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB

The second fun tournament of the year was held at the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club on July 20.
The tournament sponsor was Leah Cavanaugh of Century 21 Real Estate, who, in addition to the prize money, provided special souvenirs to all those in attendance. Her support to the club is much appreciated.
The winning team was comprised of Patrick Kane and Gord Murphy.
The first open interclub tournament in over two years took place at the Orillia club on July 14. Teams throughout the area took part in this highly competitive bowling event. The tournament sponsor was John Mayo of BMO Wealth Management.
The Orillia club had a great day, with Greg Irvine (Orillia) and Doug Hoff (Midland) taking first-place honours. The Orillia club also placed second and fourth.
A highlight of the event was by Orillia’s Patrick Kane, who, with Steve Collins, scored a perfect eight-end.
The next club open tournament will be held on July 28, sponsored by Meridian Credit Union.
