ORILLIA HAWKS SENIOR C LADIES

The Orillia Hawks Senior C Ladies won their division at the 2018 Barrie Sharkfest Tournament.

In Game 1, Orillia defeated the Barrie Sharks (119) 4-3. Goals were scored by Brittney Bince, Caitlyn Kubiseski (2) and Carly Payne.  Assists went to Catie Attridge (2), Laura Kennedy, Bince, Betsy Maus (2) and Carly Marshall. Goalie Robin Root backstopped the win.

Orillia then beat another Barrie Sharks (136) team as netminder Gabby Mondelli recorded the shutout in a 3-0 triumph.  Payne, Kubiseski and Haylee Lawlor scored for the Hawks, while Mikayla Rae, Kennedy, Cora Armstrong and Danielle Jeffreys contributed helpers.

Game 3 in the round robin was versus Wilmot Wolverines and Orillia kept up its winning ways, earning a 3-1 win. Rae, Crystal Ferguson and Kubiseski scored. Kennedy, Bince, Kayla LaCroix, Armstrong and Attridge had assists. Root earned the win between the pipes.

The Hawks then lost a hard-fought 3-2 decision to the Orillia B team. LaCroix and Rae scored for the Hawks, while Kubiseski, Armstrong, Bince and Lawlor had helpers. Mondelli took the loss in net.

In the championship game, Orillia rebounded to earn a 4-3 victory over the Barrie Sharks (119). Lawlor, Kennedy, Kubiseski and Attridge scored for the Hawks, while LaCroix, Kubiseski (3), Armstrong, Attridge and Lawlor picked up assists. Root was strong in goal to help secure the title.
