Rushmount Riders gallop to success at pair of competitions (3 photos)

Sydney Freeman and No Rhyme No Reason captured the pony division championship

The following information and accompanying photos were submitted to OrilliaMatters by Heidi Mueller of Rushmount Stables:

Rushmount Riders took to the road to Palgrave to compete in the Pony Jumpers to qualify for the Royal. They had two great shows two weekends in a row.

Highlights not only included rider Sydney Freeman and her mount No Rhyme No Reason capturing the championship of the pony division, but new member Ellie Ratcliffe and her new mount Moody Blue, and Hayden McCahon and Mikayla Burns capturing ribbons in the top five in the division.

[During] show two last weekend May 18, the riders got to celebrate Captain Canada’s retirement (Ian Millar). Caledon was the site of the dinner and party to celebrate Millar’s retirement from show jumping with Team Canada. Hayden McCahon and Sydney Freeman were lucky enough to catch up with Ian at our horse trailer as he rode by and snapped this photo with him.

This weekend, Rushmount is host to the first Georgian Bay Trillium Show of the season and it is proving to be a big one. Come out and cheer on the riders at 1773 Cambrian Rd., Severn Township.
