Top teams win cash, souvenirs at Fun Lawn Bowling tourney

The third Fun Tournament of the year was held at the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club on Sept. 1, sponsored by Mr. Appliance.

Three games of triples were played under ideal bowling conditions.

The winning skip was Kevin Binstead and his team of Brian Minns and Karl Leber.

Second place went to Barry Holloway, with Jane Barlow and Patrick Kane

Third place winners were Ross Gilmore with Sue O’Neill and Jim Hoover

Mr. Appliance, the event sponsor, provided prize money and souvenirs to all those participating.

It was a lucky day for Robb Barsevich, who won both the 50/50 draw and a fun event called a “Spider.”

Bowling should continue through September with the final tournament and membership meeting scheduled for Sept. 18.
