Three long-time friends and golf buddies recorded aces in a stretch of just over two weeks to close the summer season at Hawk Ridge.

Jack Hart started things off. Hart, a long-time Hawk Ridge member and Player Assistant, after playing golf for 51 years without a hole-in-one, scored his first ace at age 70. Hart aced the 118-yard third hole on the Timber Ridge course at Hawk Ridge with an 8 iron. Hart was golfing with fellow Player Assistant Wayne Pinter.  This was the first recorded ace on that hole this season.

Just a few days later, Hawk Ridge member Ed Thompson recorded an ace of his own on Sept. 22. Thompson hit a wedge to the 116-yard 14th hole on the Timber Ridge course at Hawk Ridge for his 4th career ace. Thompson's shot was witnessed by Jill Locke and was the fourh one on #14 this season.

Terry Smith proved that good things come in threes. The Hawk Ridge Teaching Professional also recorded an ace on the 14th hole of the Timber Ridge Course.  Smith hit a 9 iron to the 110-yard hole on Oct. 5 and the feat was witnessed by Kevin Smith. This was Smith's fourth hole in one and his third since becoming the Teaching Professional at Hawk Ridge in 2015.
