Penetanguishene having first virtual committee of adjustment meeting

Penetanguishene committees might be getting back to business through virtual meetings. 

It all starts Monday with the online committee of adjustment meeting with three matters up for discussion.

The first matter is around the provisional consent to sever a piece off the property on 344 Watson Rd. The dimensions of the land are: frontage of approximately 254 metres onto Watson Road, for a lot area of 1.46 hectares and subject to a right of way in favour of the retained lands.

A second matter is that of a minor variance and provisional consent to sever 2 Robert St. W. The committee of adjustment will look to approve an application to reduce the minimum rear yard setback from 7.6 metres to 0 metres and to increase the maximum lot coverage from 80% to 100%.

The changes are being requested subject to the condition that the provisional consent to sever be approved. That request is seeking that the committee of adjustment sever from 2 Robert St. W. a parcel of land with a width of 3.7 metres onto Shanahan Road and a lot area of 141.3 sm to be merged with the property at 106 Main St.

The third request is around the provisional consent to sever 743 Overhead Bridge Rd. The committee of adjustment is asked to approves the application to sever a parcel of land with a frontage of approximately 41 metres onto Overhead Bridge Road, and a lot area of 4,160 sm The retained lands will have a frontage of 45 metres onto Overhead Bridge Road, for a lot area of 3,485 sm.

Any approval swill be subject to conditions listed in the agenda (available online). The meeting is schedule for 6 p.m., Monday.
