Peacefully in her 96th year, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital. Helen Boyd of Orillia, beloved wife of Arnold Boyd (deceased) for 62 years. Daughter of Olive and Frederick Palmer (deceased) of Ansonville. Loving mother of Karon Foster (Charles), Dwight Boyd (Carol) and Cheryl Warner (David deceased). Special grandmother of Kathryn MacPherson (Iain) and Grace Foster; Mathew (Andrea Lilly) and Lucas (Sarah Yoshida) Boyd and Tristan Warner. Helen was known for her tasty baking and beautiful flower gardens. Helen and Arnold were both lifetime members of the Horticultural Society. Helen and Arnold moved to Orillia in 1998, as Arnold had relatives here and was raised in the Coldwater area. A private family visitation will be held at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Saturday, February 6. Interment will follow at the St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. A celebration of life will be held at a later date pending Covid restrictions. If desired, memorial donations to the: Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation or Champlain Manor Residents Council or the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
