It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Charles Calverley, who passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 69.
Tom leaves behind his beloved partner, Sue Moro. He will be deeply missed by his children – Tamara, Marc (Carla), Shannon (Brian), Kieran (Andréa), Melany (Daniel), Serena (Ben), Greg (Jessica) and Joanna (Rob.) He will be fondly remembered by siblings Phil (Kim), Bob (Bonnie) and Jackie (John). He is survived by 14 grandchildren and countless friends.
Tom's time spent at Oaklands Regional Centre was invaluable, as was the solace and camaraderie provided by the Burlington Naval Club and the Royal Canadian Legion – Oakville branch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. A celebration of life will be held in Orillia in the coming weeks.
Tom should be remembered as an avid nature enthusiast, who could fix, with ease, the most problematic of mechanical puzzles. His personality and humour made him a one-of-a-kind fella. He will be sorely missed, and forevermore loved.
