At Champlain Manor, Orillia on Thursday March 8th, 2018 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Betty (nee Haynes). Loving father of Hilda Bean (Bob), Sandra Johnston, and Bill Carfrae. Dear grandfather of Terry (Sandra), Stacey (Joe), Kevin (Kimm), Misty (Dan), Billy (Jenn); Also remembered by his extended family of grandchildren, Corinne (Andrew), Nicole (Chris), Robbie (Becky) and their families. Great grandfather of Meghan, Brandon, Malcolm, Ella, Sarah, Karstyn, Quinton, Kingston, Kenzie; great great grandfather of Dominic. Predeceased by his siblings Doris Henderson (Elwood), and Vera Moore. Roy will be lovingly remembered by his sister in law Violet Haynes, many nieces, nephews, family and friends; Roy was a special friend and companion of the late June Trott who he enjoyed a loving and beautiful friendship with until her passing in October 2014.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia on Monday March 12th 2018 from 11a.m. until time of services in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery Orillia. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
