Passed away suddenly and peacefully, in the early morning on November 7, 2019 in Newmarket surrounded by the love of his family in his 81st year. Predeceased by his parents Orla & George Cragg and brother Dr. Clinton Cragg. Beloved husband of Lynn Morey-Cragg. Proud dad of Jacquie Kent (Steve), Kerry Cragg (Elward Koo) and Justin Cragg (Sarah Harrison-Cragg). Cherished grandfather of Drake, Evan, Abbie and Josh. Great-grandfather of Preston. Loved step father of Melissa Hollis (Ken) and Susan Budnick (Wayne). Step-grandfather of Alexandra, Ian, Milli, Sarah, Christie and Chelsea. Fondly remembered by long-time friend Bill W. Garnet spent most of his career in sales as a Dept Store Manager in Collingwood, Regional Manager of Dashwood Window Mfg. and then a Realtor with the Orillia & District Real Estate Board. He found great joy in finding people homes and spending time in his yard and gardens. His pets were a constant source of joy and comfort, he indulged them daily.
The family extends deep appreciation to the medical team at Southlake Hospital, Newmarket, especially the CVICU Staff for their excellent care and support during their stay. In honour of his late brother Dr. Clinton Cragg, Garnet has donated his body to science.
A Celebration of Garnet’s Life will be held at a later date. Interment; Boyd’s Cemetery, Shallow Lake, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local animal shelter, drug or alcohol treatment program, CMHA, homeless shelter, women’s shelter, or complete an anonymous act of kindness.
