Surrounded by her husband and children, Anne passed peacefully on November 23, 2021 at Mariposa House Hospice in her 73rd year. Loving wife of Bill Cranney of 50 years. Devoted mother of Scott and Michelle, Tony and Erin, Billy and Allison, Mary and Kelly. Proud Grandma and MeeMaw to Aiden and Avery, Mikayla and Ainsley, Owen and Lucas, Joe and Emily. Anne is predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth (Helen) Gethons. Beloved sister of Paul (predeceased), Joan (predeceased), Don (predeceased) & Margaret Gethons, Bud & Noreen Gethons, Jack & Theresa Gethons, and Theresa Tucker (predeceased). Anne will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for as her own. Anne went out of her way to make sure that the house was always open to any of the kid’s friends, who fondly called her Mrs. C. A very special thank you to Joanne Matte, the entire staff at Mariposa House Hospice, the LHIN and Dr. Italiano. Following cremation the family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Monday November 29, 2021 from 6 – 8 p.m. P.M., and on Tuesday November 30, 2021 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 P.M. A Memorial Mass will take place at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 2 o’clock. Interment of cremated remains will follow the mass at St. Columbkille’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Uptergrove.
