Suddenly, on Sunday July 11th, 2021 at the age of 60. Rod DaSilva, of the GTA, is survived by his beloved children Brody (Samantha), Shelby (Craig), Cassie (Cole), and Kate (Brandon) of Orillia. Cherished son of Teresa and the late Roberto Silva of Woodbridge. Dear brother of Maria Ligia Silva and Yvonne Silva. Rod will be lovingly remembered by Silvana Perry and many other friends and family. Born on the island of Terceira, Açores, Rod had a sense of adventure and loved traveling and staying active, especially through cycling. He was also a skilled craftsman who could build or fix almost anything, and often took pride in doing so for his loved ones. He will be greatly missed. Friends and relatives will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Sunday, July 18th from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and on Monday morning, July 19th from 10 o'clock until the time of service, in the chapel, at 11 o'clock.
