Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday June 30, 2018 at the age of 96. Bill Downs of Orillia, beloved husband of Audrey Downs. Loving father of Brian (Judy) Downs and Reginald Downs. Loved grandfather of Brandon, Jackie and Lee. Dear brother of John, Melvin and the late Clarice. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Tuesday July 3, 2018 from 4 – 8 P.M. and on Wednesday July 4, 2018 from 10 A.M. until time of funeral service at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at Atherley Cemetery, Atherley, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, Orillia are asked to gather at the funeral home for a service on Tuesday at 3:45 P.M.
