“ A limb has fallen from the family tree that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.”

On Mar 19, Victoria Alice Fowler (nee Medd) passed away peacefully in her 74th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Roger, and her beloved daughter, Andrea. She missed them deeply and longed to be able to see them again. She has left behind her son Chris (Jen) Fowler and son in law Rob Reid. She was a beloved grandma to Tristan, Cole, Brandon, Ethan, Rebekkah, Graece and Eowynn and great grandma to Kya as well as aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born in Peterborough on Jan 18th, 1948, to her parents, Joe and Violet Medd, and 3 brothers Bart , Brad , and Steve. Her happy childhood was spent growing up in Millbrook, Ont and spending time at the family cottage on Lake Dalrymple. She was an avid member of girl guides growing up and passed that love on to Andrea who she helped lead. She found her love, Roger, while attending teachers’ college. During that time, she made lasting friendships in William and Donna Hutchison and Larry and Nancy Seawright, and the group raised their children together and spent many nights playing cards over the years.

When grandchildren started to come into the picture, she was a trusted lap in which to cuddle. She spent countless hours working with them on their math, writing, or just reading a good book. In later years, her hands were rarely without a good book or a crossword puzzle and was always open to offer a listening ear and share a story over a tea.

Cremation has taken place and a joint memorial service for both herself and Roger (who passed during the lock down) will be held later for family and friends to share stories over food and drink. If you would like to be included in the invitation, please reach out to
