Peacefully passed away, after a battle with Alzheimers, at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday March 27th, 2018 in his 90th year. John Healy of Ramara, beloved husband of 58 years of the late Mary Frances Healy (nee: Heitzner). Loving father of Rosemary "Rosie" Healy of Uptergrove, Josephine "Josie" Mullins of St. Louis, MO, USA, John (Carolyn) of Uptergrove, Ann (John) DeJesus of Woodbridge, Yvonne Healy (Dave Singh) of Newmarket and Leo (Christina) Healy of Ramara. Also loved and cherished by his grandchildren Jared, Sean, Becky (Liam), J.J., Bridget, Joey, Meagan, Joshua, Kristofer, Madelyn and Nathan. John is predeceased by his parents Josephine (nee: Gallivan) and Leo Healy. John is survived by his brother Guy Healy (Mary nee Murphy) of Atherley, sister Gemma Healy of Orillia and predeceased by sisters Eileen Bradford (Carroll), Philomena Fountain (Jay), Leona Naughton and brothers Martin Healy and Brian Healy. John worked in Toronto, before spending the rest of his life farming. The late Mr. John Healy will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St.,N., Orillia on Monday, April 2nd, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm with Parish Prayer held in the Parlour at 6:45. Then to St. Columbkille's Roman Catholic Church, 4993 Hwy 12, Uptergrove for Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning, April 3rd at 11 o'clock. Interment: St.Columbkille's Church Cemetery, Uptergrove. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or the St. Columbkille's Church Building Fund would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Italiano and Sandra Italiano for their exceptional care, OSMH nurses and staff, Meals on Wheels, as well as all the health care team who visited John in his home this past year.
