Hill; Bernard John "Bun" (Life Long Employee of Hill's Restaurant)
Passed away on Saturday January 22, 2022 at Mariposa House Hospice at the age of 73. Bernard, beloved husband of Mary (nee Clarke) for almost 53 years. Loving father of Bernadette Dunkley (Darren), Michael (Julie), Terry, Timothy (Julie) and Sherri Lynn Bye (Jeff). Proud Pop, Pops and Papa of Joshua (Cynthia), Ethan, Dawson, Matthew, Jordan, Maddison, Scarlett, Nicholas and Charley Girl. Dear brother of Thomas (predeceased) (Mea), Noreen (Robert) (both predeceased), Joe (June), Ann (Allan "Buckey" predeceased), Gerry (Eleanor), John (Gail), Paul (Roseanne), Dennis (Pat) and Leonard (Cheryl). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Bernard started his restaurant career at the early age of 10 washing dishes, he quickly developed a love for the industry advancing to chef as time went on.
He will be forever missed by his Hill's Restaurant family and customers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels 115 West St. N., Orillia on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at 2 PM. Cremation to follow. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Mundell Funeral Home.
