It is with deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of our precious mother Shirley Mae Holcomb on Monday, July 4th surrounded by her daughters. Only child of Edith & James Hawthorne (New Brunswick). Beloved wife of Edward L. Holcomb (predeceased 2012). In her 94 years, she touched many lives with her gentle and noble soul. Mom lived life on her own terms always, forever the giver and never wanting to be the receiver unless of course it was chocolate. Her legacy will live on in her children Vickie (Jim) Taylor of Orillia, John Holcomb (predeceased 1984), Cindy (Rob) Hindley of Aurora and Joanne Holcomb of Barrie. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Paul) Viherjoki, Drew (Rhea) Taylor, Greg (Amanda) Taylor, Mackenzie Fairbairn, Jake (Stephanie) Hindley, Joe (Manuela) Hindley, Tyler (Hope) Hindley, Dylan (Angele) Holcomb, Kaitlyn Holcomb and Ashton (Nicole) Holcomb. Great grandmother of Korry, McKail, Grayson, Ethan, Ava, Addison, Peyton, Georgia, Scarlett, Briar, Charlie Rose and Maddox. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. All who knew and loved Shirley are invited to a service and celebration of life at St. David Anglican Church, 133 James St., E., Orillia, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Andrew's - St. James Cemetery, Orillia
