With great sadness, we honour and acknowledge the passing of Arthur Thomas Iviney in his 97th year. A longtime resident of Orillia, Art was a proud World War Two veteran and well known local business man. He was larger than life, a high energy personality who loved to sing and dance and enjoy his life, and family and friends with a huge smile and a most positive outlook on everything.

Art was predeceased by his spouse, Susan and son Chris, siblings Bob, Pearl, Fred, George, and Ruth. He will be sorely missed by his wife and soulmate, Muriel, Children Frank (Ann), Stuart(Barb), Michele(Sal), Stacy (Tom) and daughter-in law Faye, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Art was a lifetime member the Army Navy Air Force  Unit 400, Orillia Legion, and a long time member of the Orillia Moose Lodge. He served overseas in the Airforce enlisting as soon as he turned 18 and serving his country through World War II. Upon his completion of service he was honourably discharged and began a long career in finance, real estate, and finally as a night club owner of several establishments. Most notably Art was a lover of Karioche which he promoted in his clubs and happily participated in to encourage the joy of song. Art has a deep, rich voice and loved to sing a mixture of country and gospel music. Art was an amazing dancer well into his 90’s.

Safe journey to your next adventure Art!!! We love you and will always cherish the memories you created with us.
