January, 2, 1937 - October 12, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna, peacefully at her home in Orillia after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in her 86th year. Her family was lovingly at her side.

Proud and loving mother of Sharon Fielding (Bill) of Toronto and Tina Rainford (Andrew Robinson) of Orillia. Predeceased by her two sons, Michael (Janet) of Severn Bridge and Kevin both whom she will be joyfully reunited with. Will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Marc, Julia, Robert, Stephanie, Mary, Ashley, Breanna, and her great grandsons Kingston and Hudson. Predeceased by her brother Gary Doyle and his wife, Carol. Survived by her brother Bill Doyle. Donna will be missed by her nephews and nieces, and by her many friends.

Donna lived in Toronto, Kirkland Lake and eventually settled in Orillia, where she lived for over 40 years. She established herself and was heavily involved in the community volunteering for the Soldier's Memorial Hospital and the Single Parents Club. Donna also hosted a television talk show in both Kirkland Lake and Orillia.

Lover of the outdoors and fishing on the lakes, Donna had a passion for nature and beautiful creatures, especially owls. She was happiest playing bingo and eating ice cream. Her compassion and heart of gold allowed her to have a special connection with people, creating meaningful relationships with everyone she touched. One always felt endless comfort and love when with Donna. Her ray of light, positivity, wit and humour will be cherished and remembered. "Love you more".

Special thanks to Dr. Aaggarwal, Nurse Practitioner Joanne Matte, Bayshore Nursing (especially Kelsey), Home and Community Care, and Helping Hands Orillia.

The family will receive friends at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street, N, Orillia on Sunday, October 30 from 1- 3pm for a celebration of Donna's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Helping Hands, Orillia (https://helpinghandsorillia.ca/donate/), or to the Canadian Council for the Blind, Toronto Chapter, (http://www.ccbtorontovisionaries.ca/support.php)
