Age 77, died peacefully on February 12, 2020 in Erie Shores HealthCare, Leamington, after a brief illness; with his wife of 55 years, Jennifer (nee Baldwin) at his side. Michael was born on November 9, 1942 in Lancashire, England. In 1967 he emigrated to Canada with his wife Jennifer and eventually found his niche in Orillia, Ontario where he worked for many years at Huronia Regional Center as Director of Finance. Michael is predeceased by his parents Charles and Honora. He will be sadly missed: by his brothers Peter (Christine) in South Africa, Tony (Jakki) in England; his sons Richard (Nikki) in New Zealand and Robert (Sarah) in Nova Scotia; his five grandchildren Nora, Ava, Hayden, Trent and Hazel; and everyone who was fortunate enough to experience his wonderful humour, kindness, and generosity. A funeral mass will be held at St Michael's Catholic Church in Leamington, on Monday 17 February at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the St. Michael's Building Fund in his memory or to any chosen charity.
