Megan MacCormack (nee Porter) died at home Thursday January 19th with family by her side after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother Ariel (Girlie) Porter (2011 and her father Earl Porter (1993), Megan will be missed by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Larry MacCormack along with her children, Dale (Wendi) MacCormack of Sudbury and Shelley MacCormack of Orillia. She will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren: Jesse Hawrelluk (Nat), Joel Hawrelluk (Cassy), Jamie Lapointe, Kylee Hoffman (Ken), MacKenzie Kulik and MacKayla Kulik (Owen), her 10 great grandchildren, MacKena, Mya, Cameron, Abel, Luca, Nova, Ruby, Mia, Harper and Poppy.  Meg will be missed by her siblings Brenda Cooke (Garry predeceased), Mary Griffiths (Doug) and Chris Porter (Robyn) as well as her nephews and nieces, Sarah (Mike), Fraser, Ryan (Kelly), Matthew (Nicole), Mitchell and Krista. Megan is also survived by her sister-in-law Helene (Fred predeceased), niece & nephews Danny, Theresa and David, brother- and sister-in-law, Richard and Lorna (predeceased) as well as great nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. In accordance with Megan’s wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia or the Cancer Centre, Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.  Megan was born in Iroquois Falls and spent most of her life in the north. Meg and Larry relocated to Orillia in 2015. Meg was the undisputed and adored Matriarch of the Porter clan. Larry fondly referred to her as ‘the best part of me’.
