Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 14th, 2019 in his 72nd year. James Martin of Orillia, beloved husband of Shirley Martin (nee Beaton) of 50 years. Loving father of Lynn - predeceased, Charlotte Knegt (Leigh) and Sherry Martin. Cherished grandfather of Devin, Eli, Kendra, John - Robert, Courtney and Zackery. Great grandfather of Amelia. Dear brother of Wayne (Debbie), Arlene Ellicott (Mike), Grant Martin (Judy), Allan MacGregor and Patsy Watkins (David). Jim will be dearly missed by his many family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Saturday August 17th , 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation through the Simcoe Funeral Home.
