Much loved spouse and best friend of Angela Jacobsen for 47 years. Proud father of Lauren McGarvey Jacobsen. Brother of Maureen Haslehurst (Stephen) of Sayward B. C.
Pat dove into life with enthusiasm. There was always another adventure, something else to see or do. He enjoyed team sports from high school basketball (ODCVI), softball, legion darts or swinging a golf club with friends.
He loved nature and being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing or exploring what was down another road.
During Pat’s career in construction, he worked in Ontario, B.C. and England. No matter where he was, he always made friends along the way. He loved the company of others, family get-togethers, meeting with friends or a boys’ weekend at a cottage.
Pat spent many hours tying the perfect fly to catch the next big fish in a river but he was happiest in his boat on a lake when the water was calm, the sky wide open and a fish was on the lure.
Pat’s sense of humour, his stories and his laugh will be missed by all who knew him.
It was Pat’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will follow in the summer.
