Marie passed away peacefully at the age of 96, on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at Spencer House in Orillia.
Beloved wife of Walter Misinchuk (predeceased). Loving mother of Michael (Linda), Paul (Susan predeceased) and Peter (Sandy). Grandmother of Jenny Nicholls (Aaron) and Allie Misinchuk (Stephen Whitehead) and Tammy Bailey (Darren) and great grandmother of Xander, Liam and Nate of Barrie and Bella of Wasaga Beach. Dear sister of Olga Kotwa (predeceased. When living in Atherley, Marie was very helpful to many people taking them as far as Toronto for various medical appointments. While playing sports in the yard and it was lunch time, Marie made enough food for everyone without sending anyone home.
Marie was an exceptional cook making her Ukranian dishes for family and friends. Even her apple pie was continually requested by all. Anyone who visited Marie's home was encouraged to sit down to eat. Marie was very proud of her real estate career helping first time buyers arrange for financing. Some of these people continued a friendship well after her retirement. Her sales produced trips to Antigua and Paris. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Kim McIntosh for her compassion and excellent care.
A special thank you to Dr. Dave Collins and to the care givers at Victoria House and Spencer House. According to Marie's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
