In his 83rd year, Dennis passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2019, with his best friend and treasured wife of 63 years, Pat, by his side. Loving and devoted father to Donna (Mark) and Doug (Christine). Forever cherished by grandchildren Megan (Mitchell), Michael, Madeline and Emily. Proud Great-Grandpa to Ella and Luke. Sadly missed by his brother Bob (Dianne) from B.C. and their family. Den was proud of his 36 year career at the Bank of Nova Scotia which took him and his family across Canada and overseas (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Jamaica). Retired to Lagoon City, ON and was a member of Western Trent Golf Course for 28 years. Enjoyed snowbird life for 21 years in New Port Richey, FL, and was an active member of the Timber Greens Golf Club. Den was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan from day one. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and extended family members that he leaves behind. Den enjoyed spirited competition, and he valued family, friendship, hard work and honesty.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion Brechin on Saturday December 14, 2019 from 2-5 pm. If desired, memorial donations to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital or The Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated.
