(March 16, 1952 - March 4, 2018) - Poor in health, but rich in family.  Joe is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Pat (nee Carleton), 3 adoring children Joe (Kate), Jennifer (Leander) and Jessica, and his 6 blessed grand-children Brendan, Sarah, Ewan, Isla (predeceased), Beatrix and his one true weakness and little partner in crime Chayanne. All are heartbroken by his sudden departure. He will also be sadly missed by his many Brothers and Sisters, by both birth and marriage, and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe's health had been in decline over the last couple of years, but none of that stopped him from doing the things he loved most.  Despite his slow shuffle and sometimes sleepy demeanour he was always game for trips to the casino or a week away on a Cruise with his girls and his grand kids.  In the end, that is exactly what he was doing.  After a week at Sea, without a complaint he suddenly became ill and ended up in the hospital.  He passed away peacefully in Cape Canaveral, Florida with a beautiful view of the Kennedy space centre rocket launch pads.

A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34 Orillia (215 Mississaga St. E, Orillia, Ontarioon Friday March 16th , 2018.  From 5PM to 9PM a light meal will be offered and refreshments can be purchased from the Legion.  Please come and help keep his spirit alive by sharing all your memories (the good, bad and ugly) of Joe with Pat.
