STEVENSON, Lena May (nee Johnston)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home, Leacock Retirement Lodge, on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in her 95th year.
Lena is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Ralph.
Loving and devoted mother of Marie Sonnenberg, Robert (Lynn), predeceased by Gary (Janice), Betty and Phyllis (Reckford Gomez).
Cherished Grandmother of Janice (predeceased), Ryan (Tristyn), Andrew, Annette (Wayne Roberts), Gregory (Lauren), Jonathan (Lesley), Megan (Nick Lesperance), Candace, Hollee, Ciara and Marlon (Megan).
Proud Great-Grandmother of Eli, Asher, Leigha, Avary, Kaitlyn, Jimmy Ray, Margaret, Olivia, Evan, Fiona, Lena, Nolan, Penton, River and Elijah.
Lena recently greeted her first Great-Great-Granddaughter Sylvia.
Predeceased by her brother Norman Johnston (June), and her three sisters Margaret (Vance Jones), Betty (Don Watson), Amy (John Taylor).
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members & friends.
Lena spent most of her working years as a dairy farmer and raising her five children. She was an active member of the Christian Fellowship Chapel and the Orillia Agricultural Society for many years. Lena was a gifted seamstress, avid gardener and made the best apple pies. In her later years, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting, adult coloring books, jigsaw puzzles and reading her Bible.
A private graveside service will take place Tuesday, January 25th at St. Andrew’s - St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia.
