THORNTON, Donna Mae (nee Dwinnell)

(October 21, 1939 - December 20, 2018) - Passed away peacefully at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the age of 79 years.  Donna Thornton, beloved wife of the late Ivan Thornton.   Loving mother of Shelley Bergant and husband Calvin of Orangeville. Devoted grandma of Joshua Bergant of Toronto.  Dear daughter of the late Dalton & Dora Dwinnell and daughter-in-law of the late Charles & Ida Thornton.  Donna is survived by her sister Shirley Sears, predeceased by her brother Lorne Dwinnell, sister Glenna Hadley and sister-in-law Doreen Caldwell.  Fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces and their families. She will be sadly missed by her many friends. A special Thank You to Dr. Peter Daniel, Paramedics, Nurses and Staff at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Sunday, December 23rd from 2 pm until time of service in the chapel at 3 pm.  Interment to take place at the St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia on Monday morning December 24th at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or the SPCA - Orillia Branch.
