Passed away Monday, September 27th at Royal Victoria Hospital after a brief time in hospital. Predeceased by her husband of 46 years Percy in 2019, as well as her parents Hugh and Dorothy Kennedy of Almonte. She leaves behind her only child Tara (Mike) of Barrie, and bonus children Cathy (Ed)of Princeton BC, and Scott (Donna) of Manitouwadge. Proud Grandma of Jason, Chris, Amanda, Andrew (Amy), Kennedy, Jake and great grandma of Cole. The youngest of six children: Gerald-predeceased (Rita) of Kingston, Mike(Olive)-predeceased, of Almonte, Gary (Janet) of Orillia, Marl (Bob) of Port Elgin and Lorraine (Joe) of Orillia. Sister in law of Mary Carnes of Orillia and Wayne (Christine) of Barrie. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mom enjoyed spending time with her family, bragging about her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their kids. She was a woman proud of her family always telling stories about them to family, friends, and anyone she met.
We would like to express our thanks to Dr. Laakso and Dr. Reinders as well as the lovely nurses and doctors at RVH the past couple weeks.
Friends and family will be received at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N. Orillia on Thursday, September 30 from 5 - 8 pm. There will be a private graveside service at St. Michael’s cemetery. If desired donations can be made the Canadian Diabetes Association.
