It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alison Walsh (nee Dowd) on June 20, 2022 at the age of 88.
Alison, formerly of Montreal, passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia, where she was blessed to have received kind, attentive and loving care. Alison was predeceased by her loving husband John (1985) and also predeceased by her brother-in-laws George, Ken, Silvio, her sisters-in-law Connie, Mary, her niece Alison Dowd and her nephew Stephen Dowd. Dearly loved and cherished mother of Karen, Pamela, (Tony Sala), and Barbara Walsh. Devoted and beloved sister of Brian Dowd (Carole), Barbara Rey, Mike Dowd (Anne Powell), and brothers-in-law Kevin Tobin, Bill Walsh (Elaine) and Dennis Walsh (Irene). Lovingly remembered as a kind, generous, supportive aunt by her nieces and nephews Ken Dowd (Rosanna), Mark Dowd (Andrea), Christina Rey, Debbie Walsh, Linda Tobin (Scott), Lois Tobin (Rick), Peter Tobin (Krystalle), Bill Walsh, Leslie Walsh and their families.
Alison was a long term, dedicated, compassionate volunteer at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, Meals on Wheels and the Val Morin Golf Club. Alison enjoyed her time in Val Morin where she became a member of the Golf Club, and where she also was able to maintain her healthy lifestyle, golfing, swimming and skiing. Always active and involved she was a good role model to anyone who knew her. Alison was also a long standing, loyal RBC employee. Alison will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.
