It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Spring at Mariposa House Hospice, Severn on Monday, June 6, 2022, in her 75th year.
Loving mother of Muriel Devon McLaughlin. Sister of John Hodkinson (Vanda Dell’Agnese), June Wright (Tod), Anne Waggoner (Brian), and Lisa Dietz (Bob). Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Spring was born on May 25, 1948. She lived a full life. There was no home renovation that she wouldn’t tackle. She excelled at a variety of arts, endeavours, and crafts, including painting, quilting, rug hooking, fabric art, gardening, and interior decorating. Georgian Bay held a special place in her heart.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Special thanks to Joanne Matte, Palliative Care NP, Bayshore Nurses, Mariposa Orillia Hospice, and Vyvynne Ritchie, her dear friend who accompanied her through her cancer journey especially with the struggles presented by COVID.
In lieu of flowers, Spring had requested donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
