Orillia man arrested for breaking into backyard garden shed

OPP thank members of the public for helping investigation; Justice Europe, 26, faces multiple charges

TINY TOWNSHIP - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched to a suspicious person incident at a residence on Gardiners Corner Road, Tiny Township at 9:08 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2019.

Uniform members attended the scene and searched for a person who was seen fleeing from the victim's backyard garden shed.

With the assistance of OPP specialized members the person responsible was located and arrested without incident and officers wish to thank those members of the public who assisted in this investigation.

Charged is Justice Europe, 26 years of Orillia, with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

  • Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
  • Possession Break In Instruments
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Mischief Under $ 5,000

The accused was held for bail court in Barrie on Sept. 26, 2019 and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a future date.
