The Orillia OPP and other OPP units are investigating a murder that occurred Saturday night on Monck Road.
"I can confirm there is an ongoing homicide investigation," said Iryna Nebogatova, an acting sergeant for the OPP's Central Region.
Nebogatova said she could not release any other details about the incident, noting a media release would be issued soon. She said only then would any more details be released by the OPP.
It's believed the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. last night in Ramara Township.
Social media reports say the incident happened on Monck Road, in an area between Highway 169 and Kirkfield Road.
