Call to 911 for help leads to impaired driving charges

A 58-year-old Gravenhurst woman is facing charges following the early morning incident today, police say

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at 2:38 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 in the area of Old Muskoka Road in Gravenhurst as the caller expressed that they needed assistance. Officers were able to locate the caller and entered into an impaired driving investigation.

Police subsequently arrested and charged 58-year-old Jennifer Kachmar of Gravenhurst with impaired operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Dec. 20, 2022 to answer to her charges. Furthermore, her driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded.
