TOWN OF GRAVENHURST - On Sept. 18, 2019, members of the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist with a missing senior citizen from Clipsham Road in the Town of Gravenhurst.
OPP specialty units assisted uniformed members in the search for 75-year-old Margaret Ivy Jane ‘Jean’ Robinson. She is described as:
- 5’3”, 80 lbs
- Grey hair in a bun
- Purple/orange toque and a black/red plaid scarf
- Red/green plaid fleece pants
- Frequently used a waking stick
Shortly before 6 p.m., police located the missing person deceased. Investigators will continue the investigation under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner.
Investigators are looking to create a timeline of events and are requesting the assistance of the public.
The victim was known to frequently walk in the area.
